Following the success of the 2006
Northern Ireland International Horse Show, event
organizers have announced both qualifying dates and
event dates for the 2007 event, scheduled to take
place at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast. Europe’s
newest and most exciting Horse Show will run from
Thursday 25th October to Sunday 28th October and
promises to be an even more spectacular event than
the hugely successful 2006 show.
The qualifying events for the Northern Ireland
International Horse Show, announced by Raymond Jess,
will take place all over Ireland, and start on
Sunday 17th June in Dundalk, Co Louth. The other
dates are: Mullingar 22nd June, Barnadown 8th July,
Omagh Show Grounds 21st & 22nd July and Balmoral
Show Grounds 27th & 28th July. Raymond commented:
“We are confident the 2007 Northern Ireland
International Horse Show will be even more
successful than the 2006 event. The feedback we
received from competitors throughout Ireland was
very positive and we anticipate a huge amount of
interest in the forthcoming qualifiers.”
Joe Sloan, President and Chairman of the Northern
Ireland International Horse Show management
committee for the second year running, intends to
stick by his vision of making the Belfast-based
spectacular not just a world class event for
equestrians, but one that appeals to the entire
community. “The 2006 show was a huge success and we
are confident we can create an even better spectacle
for the 2007 event. We have the backing of the
equestrian community in Ireland and have received
huge support from the general public, so much so
that we expect the
2007 Show to become a key date on the Belfast
entertainment calendar.
The qualifiers are part of the
fabric of the Northern Ireland International Horse
Show with Raymond Jess one of the Directors
organizing and being responsible for all the
qualifying competitions.”
Joe and his fellow Directors have been in planning
for the 2007 event since the conclusion of the 2006
Horse Show last October and have taken on board all
the positive feedback received from equestrian
enthusiasts, competitors, sponsors and spectators.
“Everyone involved with the 2006 event was immensely
pleased with what was delivered and we have been
overwhelmed by the support the show received. We are
committed to delivering an event that has mass
appeal across Ireland whilst establishing the 2007
Northern Ireland International Horse Show as one of
the premier equestrian events in Europe.”
With preparations well underway the Directors are
reviewing the format of the event and lining up the
entertainment programme to compliment the equestrian
events. Joe concluded: “When we took on the
management of the 2006 Northern Ireland
International Horse Show we wanted to establish the
event as an ongoing fixture in the equestrian and
entertainment calendar. We are pleased to confirm
these calendar dates and look forward to announcing
further details in the coming months.”
